Brittany attended Grand Valley State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies in 2009, during which time she was active in the GVSU Law Society. After receiving her B.S., Brittany attended and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (J.D., 2012). Previously, she has spent her career as general counsel in the automotive manufacturing industry, as well as working in the large law firm setting.
Brittany focuses her practice on advising and counseling clients in transactional mergers and acquisitions, succession planning for small, closely-held and family owned businesses, corporate restructuring, lender-side mortgage loan transactions and general business matters. Brittany also specializes in soft intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, software platform licensing and development arrangements. Brittany focuses her efforts on counseling and advising her clients in an effort to accomplish the most efficient and appropriate solutions.
When not in the office, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, competitive snowboarding, and collecting and sampling obscure types of gin (yes, even in the winter). Brittany also consistently fights and loses the annual battle against herself from putting her Christmas tree up in October.
